Dragon Ball : Evolution Review

You know, with all the craze bout making movie adaptions of Marvel or DC comics, you'd think by now movie directors finally got the right guns to shoot a good movie. The rule is very simple - just follow the comics, make quick bucks and get themselves massaged in the spa looking at bodacious babes.

Here's a strip of comics on what 'Dragon Ball : Evolution' is all about after seeing the movie:

But noooo, director James Wong probably farted in his spa room just 2 minutes ago. By having completely revamped the story and slapping some totally unsuitable actors inside, this movie is a total let down for legions of loyal fans all over the world.

Everything just went wrong since the opening. The story changed. Timeline changed. Weird choice of actors. Bad dialogue. Anti climax. Yada. It felt as if the movie can't even elaborate itself well enough for those who never came across the comics, and yet if it expects comic readers to actually like it, why the total revamp? Beats my goober balls. *shrugs*

Infact, it's all about the race to find 7 dragon balls within an hour so Picolo could not take over the world. Reminds me very much of what The Day Before The Earth Stood Still movie, y'know the drill.. "we must hurry, we don't have much time left!" throughout the whole show.

This picture below probably sums up my review.

I wonder if he even read the comics? Akira Toriyama must be turning very picolo right now. Oh my!

Goober's Two Thousand Nine

Ahem.. before I begin, Two Thousand Nine is translated briefly as (2009) in numerical form. That's equivalent to "er ling ling jiu" in mandarin and surprisingly - written as (MMIX) in Roman numeral. Whereas in latin, it can be further sung as a song for new year if you compare it with 2008.

It's almost been a tradition for me to go on hiatus after each post, but seriously this time I had a real reason for it. What exactly took me so long?

It's Simple.

I finally got it working!

Of course, 2009 being a whole new year, surely bunch of things started to happen, right? Well :

1. Got myself the lovable and adorable Nokia 5800.

Which happens to really take photos for this blog now, and um...they really suck and need more editing than old sony ericsson phones.

2. I've got this cute little lantern that lights up but doesn't bark.

3. I bought back my old love in a whole new package. Comes even with, (drull rolls) Korean Manuals!

..and to think my old one only spoke Japanese. Mattaku, that baka was a pain in the ass!

4. I freakin' just broke my chair leg .

on this very chair I'm sitting on blogging right now.

5. And finally, a whole new chapter of life will begin very soon as I'll be moving on to another place.

NOPE...not another new blog! *But* to a land where an abundant flow of Free Wifi will be provided ---

Indiana Jones Review

SOOO I was dragged off to another one of those boring shopping malls recently; with my half opened ho-hum mouth and the look of a very unamused face in that very dull moment of my life that I had to actually PUT..........

....one step at a time, walking up till I reached the escalator mumbling to myself in shivers that sounded -- "n-nnnoooooot....ke---ker...---clothess Aaaaggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaainnnnnn..."

It was so bad my "Nnnn" could still be heard as I reached the top of the escalator.

As I sweeped my legs slowly like a brainsick zombie, the clouds thundered and gave a loud ROAR in the dark in AWE -- children ran every way and the trees shook like never before;
It was a moment of darkness that threw everyone in fear, for this very day marks the very beginning of death itself that has dawned upon us!!!!!

... I continued to walk slowly looking for clothes....err...which isn't even mine.

THEN a thin light glittered out of no where, so bright, so might, I wish I had and I wish I might that it instantly caught my eyes!

FOR THERE IT STOOD...

IT's INDIANA JONES AND HIS HARRISON'S FORD!!!

You know, I've always wanted his Ford.

I used to have these crazy dreams about driving all alone in one-BIG-SUV, with its spanking 131 inches wheel base and 20.1/20.9 departure angles and its unforgettably cool 8.7 minimum running ground clearance.....except that I never understood what those were.

..and THAT's why I bought a toy instead.

Yeap. I love Ford, so I'm a matured man. I bought Harrison Ford's figurine to represent my love for Ford vehicles. I mean it. It wasn't out of pure childishness surely. Oh You know how hard men are to understand...it's okay...don't worry..I didn't even doubt your thoughts. Move along now.

I was so surprised seeing Hasbro actually making these for the entire saga of Indiana Jones! Star Wars were great, but.. I never bothered because well....those toys are for kids, whereas my friends, my fellow goobery friends....

Indiana Jones, harkens back to the very early 80's where young Harrison Ford charmed thousands of women with his smart sense of humour and looks, glued even the male audiences with his full action packed stunts, filled with crazy Nazis all over the place chasing believable treasures. It was too good, in fact so good, I got conceived a year after the 1st episode. I think.

So with the box now apart, let's see what's inside :

- the cool infamous whippy whippidy whip.
- *zoiks* scary interchangeable hands.
- 1 x toy gun.
- heck even his cap can be taken off, how cool is that??
- finally....a *secret* ingredient.

The first thing that got unto me was, "DOES THE SKULL WORK?"

Just for the record, that damned skull didn't even glow in the dark. DANG it Hasbro, I'll see you in court very soon.

tribunal case aside -- they came up with the whole saga of the Indiana Jones trilogy models, not just these :

I saw Marion from the Raiders of the Lost Ark, even younger version of Indy himself heck. And even the German mechanic was there. Heck. And some Nazis that I couldn't remember. Hiccup.

So I entered my class today *HIC*CUPPED out loud in a sudden, smiled and quickly dashed to my seat hoping it would end.

But it turned out like this :

Slipped into my slippers, with rugged jeans I dashed right inside my car slamming the doors while speeding in sweat to reach the destination and skidded out of control, jumped out to SEE ----

What do I think?

Judging the car only by its cover will send legions of Proton fans driving over me (if theres any?!). Plus side on the exterior, it's understandable why they're slapping those cheap plastics all over in the inside. But since it's priced at a highly competitive market range, we can just see more of these babies on the road after all.

Permai Beach Escapades

Can't find a better way to start this post off.

Just few months ago I visited Camp Permai in Kuching,
and God knows how many eons I've not been there.

... enough eons for me to be actually surprised with how pretty the beach is.

... and an unending eternity of me gasping at the sight of its clean ocean.

..Salty, murky ocean.

Well it doesn't really matter 'cause we weren't there to enjoy ourselves, see.

What were we there for people???

TEAM BUILDING!

The menu consisted the following :

2.) Deadly Obstacle Courses

1.) X Factor Poisonous Food Challenge

The Challenge : Each team has to gobble up their food during lunch hour.

.....

um... I don't like curry so...

IT'S STILL A CHALLENGE.

2.) Deadly Obstacle Courses

Too bad I only had a pic of it, 'cause I'm tellin' ya..

There were around 5 types of obstacles we had to go through.
See that small ladder? Look closer to the top.
You'll see small logs, tied with thin ropes.

The Mission? Walk over to the other side.

Now imagine you're shaking, wobbling as you move across slowly
looking as you pull each foot onto the next log..

SUDDENLY!

YOU MISSED ONE OF THE LOGS AND FELL! AHHHHHHHHHHHhhh!!!!!!!!

.... but you were lucky to have gripped onto its rope.

You start to wipe off the sweat trickling down your face,
took a deep breath, and asks yourself..

"How many times have I visited Mr.Goober?"

-Bad Jokes aside- We also had to walk through one thin rope,cling through small pipes, balance through two small long logs and finally climb slowly till the end. The final one?

With both hands tied, we were pushed off an edge - zipped way down in speed onto a net where our challenge ended! One small mistake would have our heads decapitated!

3.) Life Threatening Canoing

Actually, canoing was kinda fun. Sure, one drop into the sea and we'll be reborn as salty peanuts BUT, it's a life time experience to be moving about in the sea with a small canoe, paddling left, then right, as you slowly gaze into the sun set, and the sea breezing gently towards you.

Ah...life.

It took about an hour for us to reach the destination where we settled for lunch in boxes.

4.) Black Friday Jungle Tracking

Here's the plan :

Hell, it was hell. I actually SIMPLIFIED those routes we took. An hour canoing was enough to drain our puny arms. Jungle tracking? Puh-lezzz!.

It was a freaky experience, the journey started off on a deserted island.

Initially we had to chop our way into the jungle since there wasn't any clear entrance. Then we had to pluck one of the leaves and put it onto our ear, to tell the forest spirits of our friendly visit.

We were surrounded with trees that are damp, and bunch of hidden monkeys laughing hysterically. All your favourite mini me are there too - termites, ants, dead tree stumps, and oh, did I mention Snakes too?

As we wrestled more into the jungle, the darker it became.

...Things started turning chaotic when we learned that we were lost.

To top it off, our guide was tellin' us freakin' ghost stories right in the middle of the jungle!

One advice he gave was that we should always be in tune with the nature...and should anything happen, we have to pull out small trees and put it upside down so that the spirits will think we're damn bigger than them.

Ghastly stuff aside, we started climbing big rocks, jumped off ledges, and crawled through small openings..ran across rivers and even had to swing from one point to another!

...eventually we found an opening.... after 3 hours later.

Ended up at permai's camp, where we'll finally have our rest...

..or so we thought.

5.) The Haunting Night Walk
(don't read this at night)

Night came.

We were called out, and it was already pitch dark in the night.

Equipped only with a flash light, we were tasked to have a walk through the lonely jungle.

"Listen very carefully, we will identify each person with a number."

"Do not use anyone's name."

"Do not call out any insulting words."

and finally..

"When you see something, ask 'book?'"

"..and if that person replies 'pen' then it's safe."

"If however you called for book 3 times and yet receive no reply...stay silent. And wait for us."

By this time we were already shocked cold, then we were told that 'book' and 'pen' is used as a substitute for calling out names. There were cases were people called out names, and one of them heard their names called then followed... deep, into the jungle and never be found again.

Arranged in a line, we were led by our guide along the bumpy path, lit only by our torches. It was so dark we couldn't see anything but the person infront of us. We walked quite a distance...

....then suddenly I felt someone holding onto my shoulder.

as I turned back, I knew that my time had come.

... to sit down on that spot!

Yeap, we had to sit down on certain zones TOTALLY ALONE.
What's worse? They took our flash lights!

It was at that moment in my life that, for the first time ever,
I felt really, really empty as I gazed towards my other friends who still had their flash lights...

as they walked further, and further away from me, bringing the only source of light with them........ until finally, darkness came.

It was so dark initially I couldn't even see a thing. I could hear that I was sitting in front of a river, God knows what's behind me I just couldn't even turn back to look at it.

I started feeling very desperate, cold sweats trickling down, shivering...all in the dark alone. Then as I slowly regained my eye sight, I started seeing strange glows around the jungle. I thought I was outta my mind so I picked one of those glowing things up but broke it.

Then I heard something emerging from the river slowly.....floating towards my back...

Man...I never knew Atlantic was here in Kuching.

The last thing on my mind was to get the hell out of there!!!!

I had to keep consoling myself that it's a trick played by those pesky organizers!!

But good enough, after going through seemingly an eternity of just 45 minutes, I heard

.... "Book?"

PEN PEN PEN!!!!

JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Aberdeen Adventures

Pretty need title huh? Well I figured it out all by myself. Oh yeah I did. Yeap.

Ya, uh huh.

...no, really. I did. *snort*

Okay before I go all out to become a complete lamer....let's have a little walk through my days in Aberdeen wwaaaaaayyy back in April.

My journey started off during one of the better seasons in Aberdeen.

Yes, spring time! At that time the trees just started blooming, little rascals popping up like pimples....ah, I can still smell the fresh cold air breezing unto my pod.

Infact, though it was spring, doineedajacket.com reported it around 12 degrees. I instantly caught flu right after stepping out from the airport! Nothing too hard to explain, imagine living in an air-conditioned outdoor, a 12 degrees outdoor that is!

I can't imagine what'll be like if I arrived during winter - this!?

-Goober's Sculpture has arrived!-

Aberdeen's a beautiful part of Scottland. I'll spare you the geographical details here, but I could sum this place up with just two colors : Green and Grey.

Really, lush green grasses - so soothing to the eyes it made me want to plant myself back into its soils.

They have a very different architecture....Victorian, ala castle-style construction with grey granites - Everywhere!

This was one of the buildings I kept passing through, it's an Anglican church.

A little dark this one, but still looks good no?

Some more churches..

And did I mention how beautiful their skies are? It's very uncommon for them to have cloudy days.

This one looks pretty old, and it always had moisture on its surface each morning.

..used to be a church I was told, but now..a pub. In fact, most of the
churches in Aberdeen were converted either to a library or pub..y'know, just so life still goes on in those iced granites.

Train tracks that are still used even till today..

I did manage to try the most expensive KFC for a Malaysian, thought they'd at least had a bigger chunk of meat but..

Looks puny too, and more disappointedly - less tasty! There goes my 50 bucks.

However..It was great munching on their fish fillet,

They really do have a large portion of juicy fish meat wrapped inside its thin crispy skins. Not to mention its crazy amount of fries that comes with it! I just couldn't finish it, too much for a small nut with two peanuts.

This is actually, "Leek", not "Leak" - if I'd be photoshopping it again it'll take another month for me to post this up. But it's good, its leek tastes like potatoes, soft texture, with its generous amount of shredded chicken. Gorgeous British food.

Another one of Aberdeen's specialty; "Dual Winged Cabbage Freak", despite its freaky name and unattractive looks, it's served with sweet glutinous rice and two charmed pieces of fried marinated chicken wings, topped with mixed vegetables of your choice. Okay I made that up.

Ok, food - stop!

There were just a handful shopping malls within walking distance, and I just realised I didn't take much pictures of it. In fact, just one presentable picture :

Bon Accord's the name. With just one stretch of path between two sides filled with shops, it is a very peculiar design. It's just opposite to St.Nicholas's mall, a full swing mall.

Well you can get bunch of chocolates, toys, clothes, gadgets..wooo! Good thing I kept thinking about multiplication of 7 right next to those innocent-looking price tags!

But truth to be told, there really wasn't much to buy from Aberdeen. Either it tries too hard to empty my wallet, or we already have what they're sellin' for a freakin' 7 times less expensive price.

Just giving you a little feel of what's it like walking down the streets..that's what I did everyday in Aberdeen, managed to cut down 3kg in one month yo!

Some kinda sakura tree down the road, funny thing is that they even coated their pebbles in front of their yard pink!

At first I really felt like I was in the movies, Asians were a major minority in Aberdeen. Even they looked a little different. Everything was different, weather, lifestyle, entertainment, living standard. Pure cultural difference.

But at the end, I'll remember Aberdeen as a city of great colors, and a memorable experience living a life of what we always see from pirated DVDs.

This really baffles me. It's been 3 days since it last happened, I started getting red spots all over; "mosquitoes bites" I thought smartly, worrying no more.

Then the next day, more reddish spots came up, and I thought hey, "stupid mosquitoes, so you've got friends now? Drink till ya'll kaboomb!"

Today? ZOOMEd right into doc's cozy place and got myself an injection! I certainly wouldn't wanna get killed by allergies, no sirree!

But I kept thinking, *with fingers holding chin*, Who are my prime suspects?

Was it...

... a horde of these flying insects mercilessly sucking out blood from my poles?!

....or perhaps it's those lifeless prawns with salads I've eaten on thursday?

and maybe its that new jean I bought
a month ago that's been acting up?!
NOPE! I do wash them frequently leh.

since Friday?!

I also did suspect this..

The small but deadly dust-mites hidden under our favourite
beds, blankets and pillows.

life goes on, in silent winds

I remember those timeless moments when I used to drive my grand pa and grand ma mad, and got myself whacked for being such a silly little child.

I used to think it was hatred, and tried to be more rebellious the more they wanted to stop me.

Then as the years yonder by, I stopped for a moment to ponder on every instances that ever happened between us. Good and bad times. It was always very easy for me to talk, and feel them, for many, many years.

... until my grand ma passed away, 2 years ago.

Life can never be the same again.

I never really had a chance to repay all the things that she've done for me, and all the hardship she had to go through.

I guess it was even more damaging to my grand pa, having lost someone who went through together all those years of courtship, marriage and parenthood.

Constantly fighting to see all his children and grand children, for every little while longer.

.. but he too, has left us.

These days, occasionally visiting my grand pa's house brings back those cheerful memories, though it seemed blank now without them. Every corner of the house I would see images of the past, constantly playing in the background.

But if a piece of a picture is gone, you're left only with your imagination to depend on.

I yearn for those happy moments of our lives, when we didn't had to worry what will happen tomorrow.

Like the very flowers that bloom to perfection, they too must wither one day, and become part of the soil, giving life to new ones.

I guess life goes on..

....but maybe, just maybe, we'll all meet again someday.

The 5 Memorable..Oh, First Time

Wahaha, here is another one of those posts caused by a tag from none other than Ah Boy the cute little sausage without buns!

In today's challenge..I'm suppose to list down 5 memorable First Time events so here we go;

1. When I got my first PC - (yawn to girls) but God..it was a snazzy 286 pc with only 16 colors and *gasp* - blazing hot speed of 10Mhz processor!! I didn't know how to use it at first..for a year I only managed to boot the comp, press number 9 or 10 for the games, and directly switch off the power once done! I was a console gamer ma ;)

2. When I first stepped into secondary school, first time wearing long pants, my uniform. I still remember that day, it was drizzling with rain, with me slowly walking into the corridor..first person I met? My crush from primary school! Oh shy me, I think I blushed like a carpet that day.

3. When I won "Best Conductor Award" during my heydays in secondary school. That was it, sitting inside the whole crowd of choral speaking competitors, suddenly hearing my name was one of the greatest moment! I couldn't believe it..sob sob!! Till this day it's still somewhere around my room ;)

4. When I met up with all my primary school mates ..5 years after graduation, I was in form 4. That was the sweetest moment, imagine everyone so different after those silly years..of coz I'm talking about how beautiful the girls have become, and how keng the guys have changed into..whew, and to have found my best bud I've lost since the day I left primary school! Ah...I wish I had a handphone at that time so we all could keep in touch still.

5. And finally.....when I received my first salary! When people were still young they used to see their parents go poking out monies from those robotic atm machines that seemed to yak until you pull their tongue out. Now, you'll have a totally different feel when it's from you yourself..... for those who can't wait to feel it right this instance, smash your filthy little piggy bank and rob her off her cutesy face!! MUAHAhahahahaa!!

Last night, I had a very weird dream!

In the dream, I was one goddamn human!

I've been coughing for like, man, like, y'know, like, almost a month now and so, y'know, there must be something really wrong.

See, I was like, y'know, ate these crazy pills thinking they're godsend mannas;

It all started with "Let there be flu!",

and true enough, an ever flowing river of mucus came flushing down.

on the 2nd day, "Let there be atoms!",
and lo and behold, Einstein's theory became part of my medicine.
..oh, they made me fart effectively, with stereo sound.

..and vice versa. *

Well it's been one helluva long time since I last blogged so I've decided to do it naturally..

A LIVE JOURNAL for 15th January today! So i'll be updating it bits by bits until 12am midnite today..and you can finally see what in the world do I do for a living.

9:05am : I reached my office damn late, as usual. I love being late, it makes me feel more relaxed. I mean hey, the logbook is there waiting for me.."yooo, sign me please. Office starts at 8.30 you dweeb!" but I've decided to ignore it for a while.

(The 9.30 Toilet)
9.30am : Yoohoo it's time for my daily 9.30am toilet routine. What do I actually do in there? Some predicting usual bakery business, while others claiming me insanely calculating toilet papers, or go even as far as washing the toilet. Many theories came and go, but none were correct. The truth is..concealed within the toilet!

10.00am : ZomG!!! My colleague planted a bomb right beside me!! It's "TARGET" - a roach killer gadget stolen from the shop..after paying money of course. I hope I won't get stuck in between and get a cracked nut case later on.

11.40am : After spending the whole morning pulling out my brains, yabbering and yakking with my colleague knowingly I have no multitasking skills, I FINALLY FIGURED OUT how to solve bug 20157! Read the functional specs next time! Oh wait..it's um..it's not up-to-date..no wonder.

INTERLUDE : What's exactly my job? Why, Plucking grapes in the vineyard of course! Translated - I'm some crazy peanut looking at fuzzy monitors, plucking out codes and whack 'em silly till the program works. Does that sound more un-goober-yii now?

2.00pm : Lunch ended. Out of the random picks of the day, chicken rice was chosen as part of today's live journal. I repeat, chicken rice. What? no it's not gonna be "well I needed them cause I had to fly to work" kinda stuff but it so happens that a stall just opened recently, and I've just got to try it. No reviews, cause it sucks.

8.45pm : Now now..a nice warm bath and what's next?! Usually I'd had to connect my computer to my office, and begin slavery once more but today - YES TODAY, there shall be no more! So should I start writing stories on DreamWeb since it looks abandoned?! Or should I just enjoy myself with archie comic books..or go button mashing with my gameboy micro which I've forgotten to blog about many eons ago?

11.35pm : Oops I did it again! After gulping down a book of archie comic I decided to give myself a short 5 minutes nap and...yeap, I just woke up abruptly, blurly visions of dancing peanuts right infront of my eyes. Well I should be given some credits, back in the college days I would've woke up only in the morning, only to find out myself still in my jeans!

At least it makes me very easy to say this...

See, I've been really, really busy trying to be lazy.

So whats going on?? Well, today I was given a chance to have a taste
on one of these..

Shoyue Mi - sounds like some japanese ~~pornstar~~ model.
Yes....

Google it up and you'll probably see bunch of naked yellow turtles.
..if you're into that kinda thing..you know..I won't tell, promise. Dot.

That aside, this is one helluva cool keropok I've ever eaten!! So
cool I had to blog about it, ditto~!

First things first.

It's actually a Snek Ku branded junk food, the one
that packs all those stick-like keropoks, with green peas and flat shaped
IDE cables for consumption.

See, don't they look like IDE cables for your hard disks? Oh my, I'm
getting a little technical.

Now for the most important part..how did it taste?

Wellll..remember mamee junk foods? the one with its pack of
powdered msgSSS ?

Well, it tastes much lighther, not too oily, and none too salty.
Probably because soya beans were used instead of potatoes or corns.

A balanced taste that'll make you want more!

Note : fire from mouth only applies when consumed by a naked yellow turtle.

indonesian food : Gamelan

Finally I had a chance to visit one of those
real Indonesian food cafe done by real Indonesians!

Known as the "Gamelan" which I have no idea how it's
pronounced, presumably -Ga- -Ma- -Lan-;
But I'll stick with "Game" - "Local Area Network" for now until
some indonesian readers beat the crap out of me.

It had a very calming atmosphere, built with the
concept of 'nature'; you could see it all - wood,
green leaves, gentle orange lights, heck,
they even had wooden poles that look like tree branches!

Just beside where I sat.

I tried connecting my vine to its bamboo shoots
but to no avail; it wasn't giving me any sign
of pulse. Sob, sob.

There was an angle I SO wanted to take but
it kept being messed up. What's up with that
light, divine intervention!?

Woo I must've been yabbering too much about its
atmosphere, so what about the food?!

If someone tells you not to judge a book by
its cover, well let me tell you one thing -
it cannot be applied to rice!

This sharp looking rice is so full of it
you'd start wondering how jammed they felt next to each other.
Suffice to say I couldn't finish them - AT ALL.

I can't remember the name for this one.
".. .. .. " was all I remember. Roughly translated -
butter squids :P

nice, soft texture, a little salty at the end.

Finally, "Gado-Gado" is composed of
tofu, emping (like keropok), vegetables - all
topped with *BEEP* sauce.

Woohoo!
It's almost that time of the year again;
The season of snow, showering gentle dots
sweetly resting unto us.

It's my favourite season of the year, but too bad there ain't gonna
be snows falling down here anytime sooner.

Last time I checked, the best you could get in Malaysia are sharp
blades of rain poking and SLASHING people up, leaving a puddle of
blood and GORE..oh, OHHHH..

.....well okay, just some iced rain people would use for their ice kacang..yeahhh maybe.

So, went a little walking in the toys shop and got myself surprised with boxes of - "Call of Duty"

Incase you didn't know, it's a pc game where u carry guns around like a retarded soldier and whack the hell outta those polygon characters.

Below that poor dude lies a remote control, yeah, for the first time ever you get to control humanoids with just two AA batteries! (does this beat paying more than 20k for a marriage!? *lol*)

Needless to say, there were quite authentic, in a plasticky kinda way.

Remember those little electronic games?

Way back in the early 80's when you didn't even
have to worry about rechargeable batteries exploding?

So I was looking around..and found this cute looking gadget with extreme advertisement :

..by the time I got to this message I was already wet in the pants.

Then it came again, in awe :

"beat the dragon, and grab the treasures?!?!?!"

I was screaming like a psychopath with bullets of sweats,
rummaging through the best unscratched, untouched and untempered
stock they have and pulled it out from its misery!

mercilessly ripped apart.

after debating with the Sméagol in me for a few hours, going;

"showwwwww der BLOGgersssss.."

"M-mah-master...they'd think I'm some 3 year old kid
licking lollipops in the park!"

"SHOWWWWW Them BLOGGGGERRRSSS!!!"

overpowered by the devil, I just had to show you guys this.

hey, don't blame me. It's like asking smeagol to show the ring he stole.

Apparently the company hired an environmentalist for the design,
y'know, Green all over dudes, yo.

It's actually quite small as well, miniature size.

So how does one REALLY play the game?

See, you control the knight in a trashcan, moving him down
from the top and dodge those nasty fireballs and eww repeated
claws pumping out..

..and finally don't let the dragon's tail tickle you as

The Cheesy Chicken Chop, is truly, smackaroory!! Slurp, woop, smack!!

Carefully grilled with cheese splatted all over it, and uh..little fries and insulted long beans, I mean, salted long beans, it truly tasted beyond an elephant's stomach.

I don't know. They weren't too generous on the fries and beans don't cha think?

Well, What do we have for drink?

The American Breakfast,
as weird as it sounds, is actually just a tea.

Comes with one pack of tasteless sugar, and another pack of pirated sugar, which is tasteless as well.

The milk was a compliment, since it was tasteless too.

Oh, the photo doesn't say anything, but it was actually very big, so big it could be used as a hat - literally.

On This Challenge :

Contestants were tested for their ability to pay attention to details.

They were challenged to list all 10 differences
out of two mirrored photos.

7 contenders stepped forward -
but only one is chosen as the victor.

_Butt - The earliest participant. She wickedly went on to
the challenge knowingly everyone's asleep at this hour.
Her initial answers were incomplete. She later continued
with additional 2 points herself, laughing all the way
to papercrazy - "original ideas are not meant to be stolen!"
..okay I made the last part up.

Pinkcotton - The 2nd participant. With a eeky scream,
"eeeeeeeee i only found 3!!!!!!!!" and no understandable
points listed out, no points could be given. Not
even after a free lunch.

Papercrazy - The challenge continued with papercrazy. Because
she's so used to keeping every papers known to mankind,
she knowingly stole _butt's list and added another
2 answers.

Kenny Ng - It was then that Kenny, who was already smirking
behind the scene, quickly jumped out and slapped everyone out

Wayne - Far away in another island, came Wayne. No man's an island,

We are all represented by a timepiece, an instrument that carries the substance of time.

Each day our lives tick away, as the pin motions itself towards the hours, minutes, and even seconds. Every composition of life; when spun repeatedly, creates a humdrum existence which many will eventually take for granted.

I was supposed to be at a birthday party by now.

as I kept banging my head on the table.

A Week's Hiatus

Part 1 - The Assignment

It all started just a week ago while I was beginning to get used to blogging once in two days.

Come monday, I received a disturbing news about having to get involved in The Great Valley of Vineyard, where harvest is usually large, but the workers are oh-so few.

"Goober. You have been chosen." the words uttered by our infamous Professor X. "Chosen, for what?" I questioned.

I shouldn't have asked.

Monday was already one of those days where eyes would just keep seeing these four characters in plural; "B-L-U-E-S". The last thing I would want is to be surrounded by alluring sexy goobers before I fully become a ground nut, not to work till I meet my end days!

"Chosen, to retrieve the forbidden grapes from the core of The Great Valley of Vineyard.", "..but of course, with a line, that has death." snickered X as he snickered again.

"L-line w-with a..what? A dead line??" were the words I remember vividly before I grasped my pod, rubbed my lungs, and pulled my vines before I collapsed with a hand on the ground, and finally fell down unconscious.

Part 2 - The Vineyard

The opening ceremony was truly a great one. So great that it took me hours to regain consciousness and finally be able to spell "B-L-U-E-S" once again.

The Great Valley of Vineyard - Is a place filled with richly planted coco and cherries, pineapples, grapes and all fruits ever known to little goobers.

... but no one could ever touch any of the beauties that lie right infront of their squinting eyes, for it was evilishly guarded by demons with red-glowing eye balls, ready to splur their hot vocanic saliva.

My friend Sir Goodo-Gaada once tried approaching the demons but was melted right infront of my eyes. Till this day I still sadly mourn for the lost of a great friend.

Perhaps it is such a great place to be that some would rather just die for it.

Having amassed great amount of confidence, I took a deep breath and slowly walked towards the stairs that led to the opening of The Great Valley of Vineyard.

Part 3 - The Demonic SkullCraps

" WhaaaaaaSssssaaaaaaap .....? " asked SkullCrap BuluJeng. To which I explained my mission impossible assigned by Professor X. It took me 24 hours to explain.

You see, SkullCraps were once fallen orcs who were later given a chance of another life by pledging to serve the Dark Lord SaudiArabiaman through the pact of their brains, bonded by an eternal duty of guarding The Great Valley of Vineyard until the day they repay their sins of their barbaric brains. It is said that those who read Mr. Goober’s blog daily could be saved within a day.

After a long-ho explanation, The SkullCraps finally agreed to let me continue my journey in search for the grapes. The green, lush, and beautiful flowers with fruits that bear relaxation everywhere, the very valley of love that I hoped to reach before the day my pod cracks in olden age, had been the sole motivation of my journey.

Part 4 - Days of Thunder

The path to the hidden citrus within the core of The Great Valley of Vineyard is a legend of a folklore, a tale that everyone hoped to have and hold; but alas, no one ever knew whether it truly existed or was all nothing but a dream.

But how does one achieve, without having to dream?

Looking again at the piece of assignment passed to me, I thought perhaps it would be better if this was just a dream. So I quickly proceeded to slap myself on the left, and was reminded of the lesson from the famous Chinese philosopher – Lao Fu Chi who once said;

“When someone slaps you on one side of the face, you must let him slap you on the other for balance of power.”

Having known to be alone, I threw a pebble towards the foot of the mountain and recoiled back to my face, causing a painful moment of pain as I counted 1... 2.....

Recovering from the silliness of my own introduction to the foot of the mountain, I quickly ran with the winding roads that will eventually lead me to the top of the The Great Valley of The Vineyard.

I began seeing tired goobers working along the way as I brought my steps forward, pausing to watch how much trouble and pain everyone has to go through in their lives to reach something that might not have an end.

Days passed by, and like a thunder that comes right after the lights, so did I slowly weaknened my pace, having found many more pain that followed. And it struck me, right in the nuts.

.. I fell, and almost gave up.

Part 5 - A New Beginning

With arms clinging onto the floor of pain, my eyes raised towards the sudden light that sung to me. I began seeing lights that came from afar, to which gave me hope of a new beginning.

Hesitating no more, I dusted myself and stood up.

As I approached nearer, it all became clearer. It was something that one would have to celebrate when it presented itself to its owner. The beauties that manifest from the colored hope is something not to be ignored as it was once said that the goddess of the moon brought them with her own hands, forward to earth.

With a sick body, I reached my arms out as best as I could, and slowly opened the moon cakes and took a few bites.

"Hallelujah!!!" exclaimed myself in cheerful and joyful manner as I took a few more munches! It was truly a new beginning!

Part 6 – The Vitamin C Journey (End)

Once tummy’s all filled up, it was high time I paid attention to my mission for the retrieval of grapes assigned by Professor X. Having a sensitive stomach known only to those who work within The Great Valley of Vineyard - I burped.

The gas generated from within my stomach, proceeded through my throat, reflected between my teeth, resulting an impact that kept pushing my mouth to open wide, as it slowly hissed out from it.

The poisonous substance slowly formed into what looked like a cloud as it flew in a gentle manner, tip-toeing in the skies, dancing in the moonlights towards a rock as tall as the mountains. On there, it laid its last breath, and vanished into air.

Suddenly the rock started to shake and crack, with rays shining out loud, demanding an instant attention of my eyes. And lo and behold, the grapes that I had to bring back appeared right before me, with dews of light dripping from its flesh as the rock slowly calmed its strength to vibrate.

Without hesitation, I stretched my hands and quickly snatched them!

And lo and behold once again -------- The whole Great Valley of Vineyard started to shake violently; in layman’s term; IT’S A FREAKING EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!! THE WHOLE PLACE SHOOK AND SHIFTED, rocks cracked and pebbles flew in the air, trees screaming for their lives to survive, and hope crumbling down the paths that led to no way as everything fell, into the deep abyss of darkness...

...........

Miraculously, I was still alive.

I looked around, and saw many hallow paths that survived the great shifting of the earth.
It wasn’t an easy sight to behold.

Remembering the dreams we once had, and the laughter of joy we shared, with the promise of hope greatly remembered;

… the search for the hidden citrus had just begun.

Festival of the Moon

It's almost that time of the year for every chinese to celebrate
the wonderful festival of the moon. Which festival?

The Moon Cake Festival

This special occasion falls on every 15th day of the eighth month in the Lunar calendar. So which date exactly is this? October 6th.

Every year when I look at the moon cakes, I can only picture two words;

Round and Square.

Then I started to picture more words;

Round, Square and Colored.

In recent years, I started to have another;

Round, Square, Colored and Expensive.

This year, I started to have some problem picturing the words, but here goes ;

Round, Square, Colored and it's god damn expensive ya freaking weird factories who simply chunk out cheap round, square, colored so-called cakes priced so sky rocketing high only god knows whether mount everest is still holding the world's highest record!

...but of course they're so commercially succesful they just had to evolve into many shapes, colors and sizes. Why?

Because it's to celebrate the great festive of the moon!

Of course it's not against the law to not wait until the 6th of October to actually get yourself one of these. So why not take one of them so you can blog about it?

.. or you can do it the cheap way - touch the mooncakes, touch north, north, south, south, east, west then quickly whip out your camera and take a fast shot while you walk away (and remember to switch on "fast mode" to increase shutter speed).

On a side note, I always remember how my primary school teacher enlightened us about the story of how exactly "moon cake" festival came out.

It was actually very much related to a chinese history;

A story that brings us back to the 13th century, during the reign of the Gengkhis Khan, the mongolians were in power over China. The chinese, having known that it was impossible to overthrow the Yuan dynasty, had to come out with a solid plan.

It was then that Liu Chi, whom served as an advisor to Zhu Yuan Zhang, plotted against the mongolians by putting secret messages inside small cakes, delivered by messengers who held lanterns (thus, lanterns are played during moon cake festival) to the chinese. This organised tactic started plans of revolt from the chinese and finally overthrew the mongolians, which herald the start of the Ming dynasty.

So the next time you look at your moon cakes, try to find the hidden message.

Sambal Belacan Fish.. and the challenge!

Then prepare your rods (oh) and cast the baits into one of our loved local delights of;

Sambal, Belacan Fish - A delicious aquatic food sizzled to perfection. Mixed with a generous amount of (you guessed it) sambal and belacan toppings, covered with aromatic pandan leaves and finally smoked till it is cooked, fishes will never be the same again.

The cohesive smell of being both bitter and sweet found within these juicy fish meat will surely mean they'll be finished up in no time.

Yes, it had to happen.

I swear I didn't suspect anything, was just there enjoying my food when suddenly I got a call from WildLife Warriors WorldWide (WWW) at around 10.30pm.

A recap on the dialogue;

* I got interrupted before I could even finish. Gee.

We both cursed and smacked each other, but finally his nokia 3100's battery
went flat.

As I couldn't understand what the hell we were both talking about at that time,
I knew I had no one else to turn to but to pray...

...to pray for the well being of the fish I just ate.

*POOF*, then it appeared - A shining light bulb shown with a heavenly glow made a sudden appearence and what sounded like a voice from the highest heavens manifested itself clearly to me with a wispher; "Reconstruct."

"Reconstruct???" - *puffed*..sisss.* *.... the bulb melted as I stared again at the fishy leftovers.

.. then it all came clear to me. I had to clean my hands up as I knew the final hour has come for me to finally venture into, the lost skill that I once left behind, the mind blogging, tooth-jiggling and body shivering skill to enter.................

Yes, September 13th is a Peanut Day!

Now what's so special about this day?

Believe it or not, after the 13th year trying since late 1940s at the end of the 2nd world war era,
on this very day the peanuts were finally roasted to perfection.

Well okay, it isn't true, but according to little searches with google,
I cannot find any factual information regarding this day except that
it is a national day...for... for non-Malaysians.

This is also the day you celebrate by watching peanuts, eating peanuts, sleeping peanuts and finally acting like a nut the whole day.

Say, let's start a marathon where the fastest person to become a nut in a day be declared the winner. The person gets to bring back home my ex-colleague :)

a real life experience about my ex-colleague

Hi, this is me writing from a real life experience that I felt must be shared with you all.

I was shocked to hear the recent news about one of my ex-colleague whom I used to work with in one of Kuching's office situated near plaza Sarawak, which is just a few kilometers away from Crowne Plaza Hotel Riverside.

Because it was very closely situated at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman's Riverside Waterfront, I always tried to avoid dangers that lurks especially in the night.

There have been cases where girls were raped at that scene, but one of the most scary thing
that happened had to be 1999's case of a 16 year old girl student who had just walked tirelessly from Kuching High to Waterfront awaiting for her boyfriend to arrive for a ride home.

At around 6pm as the sun was already mid way down the horizon, one guy wore a hat like a magician with tight gloves slipped into both his hands approached the girl in a cheerful manner, claiming he can do any types of "trick" magic at any requests.

Feeling tired and having known that it was getting late, this girl relunctantly accepted the request by telling him to bring her bf over at that instant as her "magic" wish. The guy then started to make a few magician gestures and put out his hand, revealing what looked like a marble coated with red paint.

He then told the girl to touch the round object, and she did. Suddenly red gas started to fizz itself right out from the object and before the girl knew it, it was already too late. The marble was actually coated with faint gas, the very type of gas these crooks use to make their victims feel extremely exhausted and faint quite instantly.

I need not to say what happened after that.

According to the newspapers at that time the criminal was caught 3 years after the dreadful event took place. 3 Years? it sure took a long time. I don't understand what the police were doing.

Just when I thought the whole ordeal was long gone because it has been 7 years since that event took place, I was extremely shocked to have found him reappearing again in the streets of Kuching for another time.

Recently he was spotted by the CCTV in plaza Sarawak, with a smirking smile, staring at a few more ladies near him.

I do not wish to defame him as he was one of my ex-colleague, but because his tricks are extremely dangerous, I urge you to pass around this news to prevent the horror that strike 7 years ago from happening again.

I've attached his picture from one of my friend who worked in the store where the CCTV was set. He carefully extracted the part where he held his hands onto his hat just like before, ready to trick another prey into buying his ideas again which can be found here.

Oh my, we finally have a room for less than RM60 per night. Splendid.
Time to unpack, have a seat, and start talking romantic.

Scrumptious ala Chicken Cutlet with no-bones meat and fries, served with amazing fruit salad, and a home-made tar-tar sauce.

You've got to be kidding me. IT didn't taste too good! Those poor chickens must've been choked with bread crumbs before they knew their fate would be revealed in a microwave! Uh, bad taste on the skins, and fruits proved to be not too fresh for my liking. I'd give it a 75%.

Ah, classics - de Chicken Terraki is without doubt well presented. Chickens filled terraki sauce, pilled on top of mash potatos with fried mushrooms bloomed like peacocks around it.

Unforetunately that's about all it can offer. Aside from a usual terraki sauce and plain 'ol mashed potatoes, these mushrooms are deadly; You will gain the knowledge of "beauty is but only skin deep" instantly!

Oysters on ice??

It's not everyday you get to chew on these babies! (unless you don't mind getting hepatitis)

Freshly taken out from..must've been the aquarium! My goober senses tells me it had a funny fish-tank smell as you chew on it. I wonder if they've farted? ..Nah.

Recommended? You don't get much of these over here! Just remember to bring those breath mints you've been putting on your racks for months.

A silent night, far at the corner of the streets, away from the busy hum of traffics...

It was a nightingale's dream; the talent of music, with all beauties dancing in the rhythm of the night, as the lonely leafs slowly unite in a caressing manner.

A sudden gush of wind blew, and the black skies gave out a ray of light - radiating onto the smoothen ground. A dark, shadowy figure facing down the floor arises, and became clearer as its eyes slowly meets ours. Its steps then reveals itself as it moves closer..

"Lights up!" -- *ticked*. "Music!" -- *jazz music*. ~~

Bonjour~!! *dances* the tap dance. Everyone feeeling great today?? Gloomy, wimmy or just plain ducky; but don't worry, life's more than just peanuts in their pods! Say, at least YOU get to choose what kind of nuts!

Now why would I say that? Because I'm a peanut! Call me Mr. Goober, and let us all go home.
